How to Make Your Own “Bucket List”
My friend & I are in Los Angeles for a mini-vacation this week… tonight we are in Costa Mesa, and we saw a movie that I’d like to HIGHLY recommend to everyone I know.
The Bucket List.
This movie is about 2 older men who each find out they have cancer at the same time. They develop a friendship while they’re staying in the same hospital room, and eventually set out to create and then do their “bucket list”.
A bucket list is a lifelong dream list you create of everything you want to do before you die, or “kick the bucket”.
This was a movie that I loved the concept from, and I had high expectations for it. Usually, when I have high expectations for a movie, I’m let down… but this movie was better than expected. I would put it in the top-5 movies I’ve ever seen. Not because it had the best acting, or the best drama, or the best comedy, or the best suspense… but because it makes you think about what is truly important in life.
What is truly important in your life?
What would bring a smile to your face if you could accomplish anything you set your mind to?
What could you do that would bring joy to someone else’s life, and make a lasting impact?
What can you do TODAY, to make this list come true?
These are the types of questions that define you.
These are the types of questions you should ask yourself often, for the rest of your life.
Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a website where you could make your own bucket list? Wouldn’t it be neat if you could share this website with others, look at others lists, and make edits any time you’d like? Wouldn’t it be cool if this website were free?
Well… you’re in luck. There’s a popular website called 43 Things that offers you all of the above – it’s simple to use, others can see it if you’d like them to, you can see what is important to others, and it’s free.

Do you use 43things.com? Was just curious if Amazon (the primary funding behind it) “helps you do your things” by recommending books and other products?
