It’s ironic that after the Nancy Reagan years of “Just Say No To Drugs” campaign, the U.S. has become a drug dependent culture.

A drug is a drug, right? Well, actually some drugs are worse than others.

For example, according to the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), more than 106,000 people die(1) from properly administered drugs each year in the US. That’s more than ten times the amount of deaths caused from the abuse of so-called recreational drugs(2)!

Truth is the real war these days isn’t against drugs; it’s against natural cures.

Americans are plagued by “easy to cure” health issues that are being claimed as “incurable” by powerful companies that have so much money they can buy political support from our government agencies.

I’m telling you there are natural cures for anything, but this will upset a lot of people who are paid to protect these big fat drug company’s profits.

Yet, the truth has to get out.

Acid reflux makes a perfect case example. For years, experts have known antacids were useless against the real cause of acid reflux dis-ease.

In fact, antacids have been proven outright harmful.

A study from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine found most people popping antacids had one or more serious health conditions(3).

An estimated 6,000,000 Americans pop antacids daily, which only cover-up acid reflux symptoms and increasing the risk of ruining their health.

There is simply zero evidence that antacids protect the stomach, prevent or even cure the horrible digestive effects of acid reflux issues.

Americans have been fooled into thinking that treating acid reflux symptoms with drugs is acceptable, while forgetting the fact all they need to do is cure the underlying problem.

It only goes to show you what billions of dollars of advertising can do to convince people of ill truth – and it’s scary when you think about it.

It’s a criminal act for these big companies to suggest avoid seeking the true cause of the problem, misleading the public into believing its okay to take drugs for every little thing.

The price of mistreating symptoms seems low. But in the end, the cost of ignoring the real cause of any health problem is way too high.

When the symptoms of heartburn, acid reflux and acid indigestion end up turning into new symptoms of gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD), hiatal hernia or even throat cancer occurs.

Once your acid reflux turns into a gastro-eruptive flesh-eating monster that melts the delicate tissue inside your throat, drugs are “upgraded” to an even stronger antacid called a proton pump inhibitor.

Gurkirpal Singh of Stanford University(4) reported that people taking antacids and proton pump inhibitors suffered more than twice as many serious gastrointestinal complications than those given placebos.

Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are very addictive and can be useful for temporarily stopping stomach acid production in people who have bleeding ulcers from taking aspirin and other pain pills (NSAIDs). But, that’s an extreme example.

Drugs have their rare uses. Problem is they are over used when effective, gentler alternatives are easily available.

So, do your research. Ask questions and you’ll find an affordable, safe and effective ways to prevent heartburn and acid reflux from growing into a gastro-eruptive flesh-eating monster.

P.S. There are specific foods you can eat that will increase your natural digestive balance. Bottom line is your acid reflux is NOT a drug deficiency. Ask your doctor if you may have an acid deficiency instead of a surplus; it could save you a lot of pain and unnecessary suffering.
