Just about everyone’s heard of the Serenity Prayer,

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Few have ever heard the extended version, which I have included later. The reason I bring this up is because millions of people end up accepting things they can change.

They may have the courage to create lasting change, but if they don’t know that change is possible, they fail to learn the difference or gain vision.

If you wear glasses, it’s probably because you were told that you simply hadto wear them. I don’t recall any of the friends I knew as a child being taken to eye sight rehab therapy. Do you?

It’s no one’s fault, but times do change and with that, people’s perspectives change, too.

If You Don’t Believe It You’ll Never See It

One of life’s most powerful lessons is that what we think, we become.

The iconic “Doubting Thomases” are destined to live life limited by only what they can touch, before they’ll believe. This approach may be enough for some, but the world is infinitely larger than what can fit in the palm of your hands.

Truth is you never see that world unless you set your mind to “believe it first.” Being a living, breathing member of the human race means the “passion to discover” is written all over your genes.

Open your eyes to greater possibilities and see beyond the veil.

What If It Were Possible To Heal Anything?

Well, first it would revolutionize the current conventional medical establishment.

Just think of all the things we accept without question!

In fact, our educational institutions and universities don’t “teach people how to think,” instead they “tell them what to think.” It really is a form of extreme arrogance when you really go into it.

You could say it’s a case of the blind leading the blind.

I’ve said this before, “You can’t see what you don’t first believe.”

Consider how many people look right at something, and because they refuse to believe it, simply can’t see it. It happens all the time.

The new frontier of holistic medicine is proving this applies in every dimension of healing, and even more so for macular degeneration of the eyes.

Perhaps, if the power of the imagination was encouraged and creativity nurtured more in children, we’d witness greater discoveries in all the fields of science.

Here is Reinhold Niebuhr‘s extended version of the Serenity Prayer I promised to share:

God, Grant us the . . .

Serenity to accept things we cannot change,
Courage to change the things we can, and the
Wisdom to know the difference
Patience for the things that take time
Appreciation for all that we have, and
Tolerance for those with different struggles
Freedom to live beyond the limitations of our past ways, the
Ability to feel your love for us and our love for each other and the
Strength to get up and try again even when we feel it is hopeless.

After reading the whole Serenity Prayer, I hope you “feel an inspiration” to go the extra mile and gain the strength to overcome the limitations and false expectations we all too often impose upon ourselves.

They may call it the “human condition,” but could it be we are too often conditioned to settle for less than we were created to be, have and do???

With the new science of nutrition and genetics (nutrigenomics) enabling us to take control of our health and wellbeing, this great responsibility becomes a pure joy anyone in their right mind would strive to claim.

It truly is your inheritance to be happy in ways most of us have merely dreamed.

The discovery of food as medicine isn’t new to man, just new to those who failed to live beyond the limitations of the way they were taught to believe.

P.S. Dreaming is for those asleep; now open your eyes and behold a new vision of hope and wisdom.
